Spware?

Nate

Hi. Recently programs started losing their connection to the internet every
few minutes, just for about 2 seconds, but it also is causing slow download
speeds.

I have run Adaware and Spybot.
I have configured my router(it was working fine before with the router
settings I had)
I have also troubleshooted my internet connection, which leaves it as one
possibility. Software.

Please help? Its hard to upload to my website when the connection is reset
before its done sending, and yahoo keeps popping up because it signs off,
then has to sign on again

you may have to disable startups in your msconfig. But to see what might be
happening try opening your task manager and expand the window so that you can
take a good look at the processes. Click on CPU on the cpu colum to sort the
priorities at the top. Then watch it while you are on the net. Whatever is
interrupting your connection while pop to the top of the list because it
would be momentarily accessing your cpu......

If you see a mysterious process that leads you to beleive it is the culprit,
figure out what it is and what program generated it. There are freewares
out there that help identify the system processes, like QuickAccess from
ProcessLibrary.com It may be something easy to remove from the msconfig
startup list or somekind of malware that requires onoculation. If it is
WGANotification then it will be easy to remove.

I ahve nothing in my startup, I have ran spybot and adaware, currently
runing NAV, might be a virus from the looks of it. Nothing pops up in the
process list, so its something that is already running, but everything is
legit.
