I am sorry if my description is a bit hazzy, but we have difficult situation.
On one of my home computers (Compaq Evo win 2K pro) we get Win Explore pages
openning on htier own for no particular reason. They ALWAYS want action,
Where is hte best place to fix this.
I run trend Internet securtiy, an Neargear firewall and spy ware, tbut it
still happens.

Hi

Try googling for spybot, download it and install it. You will need a
connection to the Internet to do the updates.

After that google for adaware and set that up.

There is also a beta verion of the Microsoft Antispyware available, just
search on their web site for it.

Also, try googling for pop up stoppers, some are free to use for home use.

It could be that even after all of that that you still get pop ups etc, my
recomendation would be to back up your data and re=install Windows, putting
back each of the pieces of software mentioned above as well as anti virus
and firewall.

HTH's a bit
