Spreadsheet help

Hi,
I have several spreadsheets in the same workbook, I would like the
information one sheet to update another spreadsheet as well as the current
spreadsheet searching lines for in itself for specific items and copying them.
Example:
Spreadsheet 1
A B C D E F
1 s
2 s s
3 al al

for this information to go into spreadsheet 2
A B C D E F
G H I J
21 s
22 s s
23 al al

rows 1-3 would then be searched for specific items and copy them in columns
G-H continuing onto the next spreadsheet.
Thanks
in advance
Jason

You have not gotten any responses to your query because no one know what
you have and what you want. You say "information one sheet to update
another spreadsheet". That is a wide open statement that could encompass
anything. Define what "update" means in your project. Say it like: I want
this copied to that cell, that copied to this other cell, etc, etc, etc.
You say: "the current spreadsheet searching lines for in itself for specific
items and copying them". What parts of the current sheet do you want
searched? Search for what? "Specific items" doesn't mean anything. How do
you plan on telling Excel what items you want to search for? And when one
of these "specific" items is found, what do you want copied and where do you
want the copy placed?
I am not being argumentative. I want to help you but I don't know how I can
help you. When you explain what you want/need, remember that no one outside
of your world knows anything at all about what you are doing. Just pretend
that some guy just walked in off the street, probably looking for the
bathroom, and you have to get him to do what you want done. What are you
going to say to him?
I have always found it very helpful if you simply pretend that you have to
do everything you need to do, and you have to do it manually. No formulas,
no VBA, nothing but Excel. Now state, step-step, what you would do. From
beginning to end. HTH Otto

Hi Otto,
You're right. However I have given up on my idea as it may be too
complicated and hard to keep up to date. I shall keep your comments in mind
for the future.
Thanks
Jason
