Spreadsheet doesn't show

R

Rich W.

If Excel is not open, and the user goes through Windows Explorer,
double-clicks on an xls or xlsx file, it initiates Excel 2007 and the file is
brought up.

BUT, the user needs to minimize and then maximize or restore the Excel
Window to see the spreadsheet.

However, when the user opens Excel via the shortcut that runs Excel.exe, and
then goes through the Excel interface to access the file, the file opens and
is immediately viewable.

All updates have been applied (including SP1 for Office 2007).

Any ideas as to why Excel would behave like this?

Thank you in advance . . .

Well known bug. No universal solution.
