splitting up an IP address

I want to split up an IP adress as follows and am having no sucess

A1 B1 C1 D1
E1
255.356.128.0 255 356 128
0
192.168.0.1 192 168 0
1

Basically I want to use the "." as the text seperator

Hi

use text to columns .. under the data menu
choose delimited
choose other and type a space
press finish
