split windows vertically

Mord currently has a feature to show a document split into two parts, e.g.,
the beginning and end ("Window"-"Split"). It would be nice if we could have a
similar viewing instead with vertical split, enabling us to see, e.g.,
far-right portion and far-left portion of a document simultaneously without
seeing the middle. This is useful when viewing a very wide table with a
resonably large font size.

Hi OT-

Versions of Word & Windows may impact this but you might try:

1) Make sure you have no windows open other than Word with whatever doc
displayed,
2) Go to Window>New Window,
3) Right-Click a blank spot on your Windows Task Bar & choose Tile Windows
Vertically.

Hi Oak,

You didn't mention the version of Word you're working in.

With your document open on screen you can use Word's
Window=>New Window
command to open a 2nd copy of the document then use
Window=>Compare Side by Side With...
to get a vertical 'split' (tiling) of the document and
you can also enable synchronized scrolling, although
that may defeat the purpose you're trying to achieve.
