Split Screen in VBA Editor

In VBA Editor, I used to have (I think) a split vertical screen. The Project
Explorer window and the Properties window would show up in the left pane, and
the code and forms windows would show up in the right pane.

Somehow I have lost that split. Don't know what I did to change it, but I
would like to have it that way again. Can anybody help?

hi
you didn't say which one you lost so i'm guessing the project explorer.
on the menu bar of the vb editor.
View>project explorer.
note: in the up right corner is an "X". you may have hit it accidently.
Other items on the view menu can be called and killed as needed/wanted. all
have the "X".
the code window is the only one that doesn't have an "X".(that i know of)

Sometimes, it's easier to start from scratch...

Follow the instructions posted by Tom Ogilvy:

What version of excel? If Version 2002 or 2003 look for

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VBA\6.0\Common\Dock

you aren't deleting a file. You are deleting a value in the registry.
Windows/Excel will recreate it with default values which should restore the
original layout of the VBE.

Worked perfectly - thanks so much.

I do some things with the code windows in my code, and it had really messed
that up.

Life is good.
