Split database security

Hi,
Currently, I split my database to Data and Program.

How can I secure both database and make sure it's linked
ie I can open the program and I can extract from data db?

Currently, I have both db set up in 2 workgroup.
When I open the Program it doesn't let me retrieve the data
can anyone help?

You should secure the backend using the same mdw that you secured the
frontend with.

Unsecure the backend as you have it now. Then join the frontend's mdw, and
secure the backend.
