split a PPT presentation onto two screens?

What equipment/technology/software/splitter is needed to project one
PowerPoint presentation onto two separate screens?
I have a very wide room with two screens and need to project the same slides
onto each.
Do I need two projectors and a "splitter" from the video port?
Thank you,

I used a two projector set up (both with the same info) recently. I may be
way off here because for once I had a techy set it up with the centre's own
gear but it looked like she took a feed from projector 1 and fed it to
projector 2?

Maybe someone that knows more will confirm whether this can be done?
