Hi all,

Am I able to change the Windows Embedded splash screen to something
customised? Is it legal to do so?

Yes.

Put a 640x480 16 colour (4 bit) bitmap called boot.bmp
in your windows directory and add /noguiboot /bootlogo to the
[operating systems] selection line in boot.ini.

Is it legal to do so?

Yes. It is legal to replace the windows splash or switch it
off in XPe but not modify the MS one.

You can also change the logon screen if you want to as well.
