Spider game opens but is blank

After updating to Service Pack 2 my Spider game will not work properly. I
see the difficulty status box, and hear the cards shuffle, but the window is
empty. No green background, cards, etc. It is the only program that is not
working. I have run Spybot, Adaware, My Norton Antiviurs, the Microsoft new
Anti-Spyware program, all from Safemode, with System Restore turned off. I
have removed the games from Add Remove Programs, Windows Components, turned
off the computer and reinstalled the games. Still to no avail. Does anyone
have any other ideas as to why this game isn't working.

I am wondering if it's a DirectX or video driver problem (notwithstanding
your statement that it is the only program not working).

Thanks, I'll check into that. I did do a work around, but don't know how
long it will work. I removed all Microsoft Games from XP. Then I went into
regedit and deleted every instance of Spider. Then I reinstalled all
Microsoft XP Games and Spider is now working.
