How do I check spelling in "proper" English -:) ?

Don't know if you can - I tend to add the English word into the dictionary
for future use.

If you are experiencing problems with the spell check in Windows Mail, try
this:

1. In Windows Mail, go to Tools, click Options, and then click on the
Spelling tab. (English should be selected as your Language.)
2. Click on "English" so that it becomes highlighted in the dropdown list.
3. Click Apply, and then click OK.

This should fix your spell check problem in Windows Mail.

Thanks,
Tatsuo.

The only version of English for which they have so far released a dictionary
is American.

You can bulk edit the UserDictionary.lex file in the message store with
Notepad and add EN-UK words such as "colour" and "bloke", etc. <G>

That won't stop it from not correcting "color"

There's an EN-AU dictionary for word... why cant it just use that.

Because it won't accept that. They aren't compatible, so they make you
purchase Word that way.

Unfortunately I don't know a way to remove the other entries such as
"color".
