I can't change the language in spellcheck -it reverts to English US
everytime. I've tried all the obvious, but don't have the disc to reload
original programme

Since WinXP, as an operating system, has no spell-checking capability,
don't you think it might be helpful if you were to maybe mention the
name of the specific application with which you're having trouble?
Better still, try posting the question in a newsgroup that is concerned
with that application.
