Spell out Currency

Is there a way to have excel spell out currency? I am doing wire transfers
and it is much like a check where you enter the numbers and then enter the
spelled out version.
 
Expressing amounts in alpha and numerical forms serves to guard against
mistakes. If you were to write "one hundred pounds only" but express that
as £10 there would be an automatic check against an accidental overpayment.
If you were to automatically express alpha as numbers (or vice versa) you
could easily make a valid payment for far more than intended.
