Spell Checker

My spell checker in Office 2007 Pro Plus Word doesn't work at all, no matter
what.

Any suggestions. I instituted a repair review from the program disc.
 
I am having the exact same problem! The main dictionary was there and then
all of a sudden it is gone. I have been trying to find out if it's possible
to download the dictionary--I can't find my disk--it is not in my office--so
I can't try to re-load the program. Can anyone help??
 
Here's the workaround that worked for me:

For Word 2007 spell check malfunction, do the following

1. Close Word 2007
2. Open Regedit
3. Follow keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Proofing
Tools\1.0\Override\en-US
4. Change DLL and LEX to oldDLL and oldLEX, save and viola, problem fixed.
