Spell Checker and its many issues

I'm using Windows XP and I have installed Works 7.0 that has spell checker that works. But Spell checker doesn't work in the Outlook Express (note: all settings for it are turned on but, access buttons are greyed out). I just got DSL and MSN Premier installed and my MSN Email account spell checker won't work, (note: It causes a No Dictionary Found error). It then reports that I need to install Microsoft Office or Microsoft Works program. WHICH I ALREADY HAVE and that I already reinstalled 2X and I still have no dictionary. What's funny I can use spell checker in hotmail account but not msn email account. Not only that... auto-complete won't work in the MSN Email but will in the Hotmail Email. What am I to do ???? I want to download a free dictionary, but with computer viruses and spyware out there, is it really worth it. And all the articles all say I need a 32 bit dictionary program like MICROSOFT OFFICE or MICROSOFT WORKS. I have Microsoft Works 7.0 already and it still doesn't work and I can't afford to fork out $300 for Microsoft Office. P.s. I don't have a WINDOWS XP CD... because my computer doesn't include them with the sale. I do have 5 recovery disks that Compaq allowed me to make... what's on the recovery disks I have no idea because they don't tell ya, and they only allow you 1 copy. So could this be my magic fix for this problem?
