Hi,

Maybe you can help, please. I'm making a giant leap from Windows 98SE to
VISTA. It is so different.

One issue is that my spell check in Windows Mail will not work. When I
click on it, it tells me to go to the spelling options dialogue. Where is
that? You'd think it would be in tools or options but it sure eludes me.
Help!

Thanks in advance

OK, found it in Tools, options, spelling and all I did was click on English
even though it had already been selected. Now it works! Hooray!

OE and Windows Mail use the spell check facility of MS Office if present..
there are free spell checkers available.. here is a start for you..

Tools > Options > Spelling tab

Funny, because that is exactly where you just said you thought it would be
:)

Actually sad ... <LOL> ... 'cause I looked twice the other day and didn't
see it. Then saw it right away today!

No, Windows Mail uses its own spell check engine.
You can prove this by trying it before installing Office.

In the main window of Windows Mail click on Tools, Options,
Spelling, "Always check spelling before sending."
With that option checked, your text will automatically be
spell-checked when you click Send.

That is what comes of installing Office 2007 directly after Vista.. habits
of a lifetime.. ty for the heads up..
