speed changes in motion apths

It would be really useful to move an object along a series of paths, each at
specfied speeds, and even to be able to pause at some points. All this to be
capable of repeating until end of slide.

This can be done using multiple motion paths and custom show, you will need
some trial and error to get the result though. Holler back if you need more
help on this.

Hi Shaun
we have chatted before!
If you take a look at my slides at www.ts-consulting.co.uk/Animation%course
you will see a slide with a i.c. engine (the exe file is best and quite
safe). What I want to do is to have a realistic pair of valves that only
open and close for half a rev of the shaft, and then stay closed for 1.5
revs. Hence my query!!

Hi Ted,
Nice sample there. Since you are using action buttons, you can make use of
custom show to repeat that particular slide (lets called it Slide A), which
includes multiple motion paths.

You can add Slide A into a custom show (Click Slide Show >
Custom Shows > New). Then, add an action button on the previous slide. Have
that action button hyperlinks to the custom show. Put a checkmark on "Show
and return".

Now, proceed to Slide A. Click Slide Show > Slide Transition. Put a
checkmark to Automatically after. Do NOT Apply to all slides.
Add an action button and have it set to exit show.

Click Slide Show > Set Up Show. Put a checkmark to "Loop continuously
until 'Esc'" so that the custom show will loop.

Feel free to email me at pptheaven[at]gmail[dot]com if you need a sample.
