Dear PC User:

I haven't used the MS Direct Speech Synthesis Control, so I can't help you,
however I work with blind students and have some experience with speech
synthesis programs and Access. If this happens (by any chance) to be
relevant, post back. If this isn't your situation, sorry to have wasted your
time!

Cheers!

Although my application does not involve blind individuals, if you have
some recommendations on programming speech synthesis or example
databases to share that involve speech synthesis then I'm interested.
Thank you for your reply.

Hello:

Well, I'm not sure I can help you very much, except to say that there are
full-featured screen reading programs that can be used to make Access..
uh... accessible <g> for blind/visually impaired users. (I am familiar with
the JAWS screen reading program, in particular.) These programs can be used
to provide speech synthesis for an Access database. Unfortunately, though, I
can't help you in programming speech synthesis.

Good luck in your own projects, however!

Cheers!
