Speech Recognition

Hello everyone
I m using a compaq laptop and by mistake i have installed speech
recognition, and its creating a major problem to me.. its always starts as
the windows start and takes hell lot of a lone time to start and half the
time in doesnt work and my comp hangs/ becomes very slow.. "CAN ANY ONE HELP
ME ON HOW TO UNINSTALL IT PERMANENTLY" i tried going to control panel and try
to uninstall it from add/remove programs but it was of no help. I will really
appreciate if any one can help me please mail me at
(e-mail address removed)/[email protected]. I m totally fed up of this. PLEASE

Right-click the Speech recognition doo-dad, choose options, and uncheck "run
at startup." Then close it clicking the red X.

so you say that it starts with your pc huh? well you can stop it from doing
that by going to ALL PROGRAMS/Accessories/RUN type "msconfig" a box apperes,
click the
startup tab and look for the voice rec. program name in the list, look for
the program OR programs that you need and want to stop and UNcheck its box
(uncheck windos sidebar too you can manuly start that trust me it will speed
things up if you do) then click apply them reset then you should be good
becouse you dont actuly need to unstall the program to stop it from starting.
you might need more ram becous voice rec. softwere takes a bit of ram and can
take quite a bit of CPU resorsess.
