I have a small WIN2K network. All pcs have WIN2K loaded. All profiles are
roaming. One profile (I have logged onto multiple machines ) when logged on
slows the access to opening files, accessing MY Computer, accessing
historical web pages on the address bar of IE. Slow means takes 10-15
seconds to access. When I log on any other profile on there is no delay.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Maybe your profile is so large that it eats a lot of memory or indexing
resources.
Check YOUR profile size at This Computer / Properties / tab User Profiles.
'Large' is a few hundred MB's here.
This might be caused by a large Internet Explorer cache.
Check at Internet Explorer / Tools / Internet Options / tab General
section Temporary Internet files ...
Delete Files first, then change Setting to 50MB or less.
DO NOT delete your cookies.

HTH,
John
