Special port in NAT

J

Jay

I am trying to map TCP port 80 to an internal address.
this is what I do

this machine has RRAS with NAT and has public Ip address.
under NAT I configure special port
protocol : TCP
public address: on this interface
incoming port : 80
private add : 192.168.0.3
outgoing port : 80

when i put the public ip address in the browser on another
computer i do not reach the website on 192.168.0.3.

Although from within my LAN when I type 192.168.0.3 in my
browser my webpage opens.
what I read according to that after making this mapping
all requests for port 80 on my public ip should go to
192.168.0.3.
is there somrthing else i need to configure or am I
missing something.

Need some help

From the face of it, it looks like you are doing the right thing. So, you
are not able to reach the Web-server from PublicMachine.

Web-Server -------- NAT-------- Public-Machine

Can you please check the following

a) Is NAT the default gateway on this Web-Server and is able to reach the
public machine / internet?
b) Do you see anything interesting in the eventvwr logs / NAT logs of the
RRAS?
c) Are there any filters setup at Web-Server?
d) If you have cross checked the steps given in RRAS help for configuring a
Web Server in a NAT environment, Is it possible for you to collect the
netmon capture summary and share?
