How do I avoid getting the copyright symbol when a want C in parentheses?
(Note I don't get it here!) (C)

In Word, click on Tools | AutoCorrect Options | AutoCorrect tab.
In the list of AutoCorrect entries, click on the (c) entry and
then click Delete.

Alternatively, if you want to preserve the AutoCorrect entry (sometimes it
can come in handy), press Ctrl+Z (Undo) to undo the auto correction.

Or change the autocorrection trigger to #(c) so that you can deliberately
call it on those odd occasions when it is needed without it tripping in
