Speark icon missing from teaskbar

The little icon with a speaker & showing if it is muted is missing from my
taskbar. How do I get it back?

Right click a blank area on the taskbar. Select Properties. Select
Notification Area. Check Volume.

As other have already suggested just right click on the taskbar then, from
the drop down menu, click Properties. In the properties window, Click the
notification tab and then place a tick in the box to the left of the
'volume' option. Finally click OK and your icon should be back in the
notification area.
