I sent this topic earlier, but it never posted.I'm having trouble w/
my speakers. They were working fine until I installed Netzero Voice Call
feature, the same you get w/ the newer Yahoo IM version.Once it was
installed, the speakers started cracking and popping and now ,there's
nothing ,but static.I can still here audio from them, just behind a lot
of static.Any clues to the issue? I have uninstalled Netzero and all
features, ran all my clean up programs, but still the awful static is
still there.
Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How are the sound card/modem connected to each other? What are the devices
next to the sound card? What type of sound card (on the motherboard or add-on
card?)

Hello Yves Ieclerc...
Thanks for the response!!! My sound card is a NVIDIA-nforce.Not sure
if it is on the mother board or not,but I don't think it is.The guy
that built the pc for me ,had to go back and put a new motherboard in
it ,as the original one screwed up.The motherboard is an ASUS-A
A7N8X-E.Does this help any???Please respond!!!!!

Hi,
The issue might be with the drivers. You could uninstall the drivers and
reinstall them.
Please follow the steps provided below:

1. Click start, right click My computer.
2. Select Properties.
3. Click on the hardware tab on the top.
4. Click on device manager button.
5. Click + sign beside the "Sound, Video and game controllers" in the list
of items.

You will find a list of items in the sub menu. Right click on each item in
the list. You will find "Uninstall" option for only one item.

6. Select uninstall for that item. This will remove the item from the list.
7. You may restart the PC. Windows will automatically detect and install the
drivers upon restart.
8. You may insert the CD or floppy that came with the Sound card if Windows
does not install the drivers automatically.

Thanks,
Vikki.
