Making a inventory database is simple, making one that might best suit
your needs can be far more complex. The beginning point is to determine the
needs. For example will you need (now or in the future) to indicate the
location, age, color, original cost, and a hindered other items along with
things like who used them, when want product serial number did the go on,
who was the owner of the product they were sold to or added to etc.
Think about these issues and try to give us a detailed description of
your needs. Also take a good look at the Northwind database that comes with
Access to get some idea of some of the capabilities.
It might also be a great idea to take a class in Access if you can.
Access have a very steep learning curve so it is easy to get overwhelmed at
the beginning. Having a structured learning situation such as a class can
help. However if you are game I am sure you will find some help here to
learn on your own. However do at least find a book on the subject it will
help a lot.
