Spam Perplexed? Do I need V ! agora or just a new id?

I work for a major corporation. I don't get spam at home.
Can you explain why my company can't block the hundreds of
spam emails I receive at work?
I get spam that addresses almost every major organ and
appendage of my body. The department that handles email
says that I've given out my email id to some web site and
that is the reason why I am innundated. I have set up
filters to prevent as much as possible.
HOW CAN I MAKE IT STOP!

You can't make it stop. Your company can implement anti-spam software to
check and block spam before it gets to your mailbox. Or they can use a third
party service like www.postini.com. Once your address is "out there", they
have it, and there's nothing you can do to prevent them from trying to send
to it -

Sounds like your company could benefit from both perimeter and mail server
anti-spam protection. It's rather wasteful and irresponsible for them not to
have it, but I'm sure you've already told them that.
