***SPAM*** in the Subject header

Rick

Using Outlook XP. Recipients receive some emails from me
with, ***SPAM***, in the subject header.

Any ideas?

I have not figured out the reasons for this one as I have sent messages to
myself and gotten the same thing, Sometimes its because of a attachment and
sometimes its because of my subject line that might contain "unsafe words"
For example I sent a message to a few friends of mine regarding the swen
virus and I got the SPAM added to the message. I have not figured out how to
turn this one off. Hopefully someone else will come in here that know the
answer.

It is probably being done by some anti-spam product, either on your machine
or on your ISP's servers. Outlook does not do this.

In Jeff Stephenson [MSFT] <[email protected]> typed:

Indeed, SpamPal does this to indicate that it's SPAM, you can create
a rule to move messages with this **SPAM** in the subject moving
to a specified folder.
