Spacing

The spacing between one of my the paragraphs is huge - it goes the entire
 
Check the paragraph formatting. It may be formatted as "Keep with next" and
"Keep lines together" (or even "Page break before").

my page vertical to top nothing seems to work. I can get it to stay right
under the previous paragraph, however, once I insert a line it jumps to the
next page.
