Space in input mask

I have an input mask for Swedish ZIP codes (3+2 characters with a space
between the groups of digits). The input mask is "000\ 00;0;_". It works well
when creating a new record. However, when copying a record I get the error
message "The value does not match the field's input mask '000\ 00;0;_'". What
can be wrong?

The mask is for display purposes. If you are trying to import data that has
a space as the fourth character it will give you an error because it should
be a number.
