space above line or character

I use to be able to adjust the space above a line. I am now using Word 7.
My file has some lines lipped off at the top. It is when I go to a larger
pt. Please help me find out how to adjust line spacing and also the space
above a line.

Same as before -- in the Format Paragraph pane, either select Single
(etc.) for Line Spacing, or set a larger number for Exactly spacing.
(Assuming you're using Word2007, it's Word 12 rather than Word 7.) You
can also assign Space Before an entire paragraph.

On the Home tab click the dialog box launcher in the right bottom
corner of the Paragraph Group. With the Indents and Spacing tab, set
spacing to "Single" or "Multiple." Note, "Multiple" is the default
for the new style sets in Word2007.

If you click the Help "?" icon in the right top corner of the dialog
then "Adjust the space between line" then "Understand why the line
spacing looks different" you will see the intent of "multiple" vice
"single"
