SP4

Installed SP4 and Windows keeps starting with scandisk and
after running scandisk it reboots. And repeats scandisk
and reboot in an endless loop. There is nothing in the
knowledge base. Any help is appreciated. I am in serious
doo-doo without this machine. Lots of work to do.

If you can get to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file you can disable
auto running of CHKDSK. Try the Last Known Good option
during startup, put the HDD in another machine as a slave
and edit the file, or reload W2K.

I might be wrong about the location of the option to run
CHKDSK. I KNOW it was there in W98 (boy, was that an
annoying option).

If you ever get booted into the machine, try to rollback
the service pack.
