Close SuperAntiSpyware (right-click on it's icon near the clock and close
it/exit it.)
Other than AVG - pretty sure the rest are non-resident (they run when you
tell them to run.)
What version of AVG?
Dallas said:thanks as always shenan, as i right clicked the sys
tray>properties>customize & none of these are even there to "always
show".
sorry, but i am again stuck

sorry shenan, but they way i have it is this; i "sent" all my
security programs to a new folder on the desktop called security &
all are in there. i tried the right click & i get the usual open,
run, scan with, send to, cut, copy, delete, but nothing to disable
it

Dallas said:thanks but not having problems with any of them.
rather, it says to disable them all before installing sp3, so it is an xp
question.

Dallas said:Thanks again & I just completed it & so far, I can't get Explorer
to open from the desktop Icon - what's wrong ?
Dallas said:sorry, i meant windows explorer. i'll try it from my pc
Dallas said:i can get to it via my pc, but not directly.
also, since i reinstalled spybot, everytime I do anything, a window pops
up & asks me to confirm changes - how do I get rid of that ?
thanks
