Hello,
Can anyone give me some advice,I already have some
updates of SP2 from WU, if I download SP2 from microsoft
(266Mb am told)will it make any difference,I was going to
copy it to CD and install it, as others in the family
also have xp installed and they can also install it,can
you see any problem with that,hope you can understand
what I mean,

thats the way to go IMHO.

William,
If all you want to do is download the full version only,
should be OK. Simply save it to somewhere on your hard
drive and the burn it to a CD. But if you have already
received some sp2 updates from WU on the same machine, do
not try and install sp2 from the downloaded file which
could cause problems.

But you should have no trouble installing to any XP sp1
from file burned to the CD.
