SP2 Symantec AV "Auto Protect Fails to load"

I recently started with a fresh install of XP Pro, I then installed the new XP SP2. When installing the Symantec Corp AV V.9 I get live update fine but the file sys auto prtect fails to load. Anyone have a similar problem
