SP2 problems

Help, please! I was advised to try reinstalling SP2 because I did not have
Movie Maker 2.1. I did reinstall and I now have MM 2.1, but I can only boot
in Safe Mode. I tried reinstalling again, but now it tells me that Windows
Update does not work! Any ideas? Thanks!

Remove it, clean your machine of malware, get all errors out of Event
Viewer, then reinstall it.
