Just responding to what YOU wrote.
"I was just informed this seems only to be an issue when you select
'Notify me...' in Automatic Update and they are working on it." - Juppy
Seems YOU were too quick to judge.
This is by design and working properly.
Then what are "THEY workinig on?"
They will get the update in time.
LOL! Just download the Full SP2, and run it. How long does it take BITS to
spoon feed SP2? Hours, Days or Weeks?
People on dialup would get it faster ordering the SP2 CD!
Your premature judgement strikes.
Yeah. I should have known YOU were full of sh*t, as usual, Juppy. That
what was my mistake.
If you would wait for the facts instead of assuming perhaps you could
eventually get it right.
Well the "design" sucks. Just ask all the people that have been notified by
Auto Update that SP2 is available, but they aren't getting it, or it's stuck
at 0%.
Auto Update is more confusing than it's ever been! It's easier for the
average computer moron to download and install it for themselves, than
sitting around waiting their turn in line, and then waiting for BITS to
trickle download it over days or even longer!
Instead of effin' around with with Auto Update, MS should just add more
download bandwidth to Windows Update at times of high demand, like the
release of a very large Service Pack. This would be the SIMPLEST solution
for both MS and its customers. MS has god only knows how many billions of
dollars in the bank, but is too effin' CHEAP to add enough bandwidth to
support and protect their customers from all the holes in MS OSs.
So Juppy, blow me!

"Trustworthy Computing" is only another example of an Oxymoron!
"Produkt-Aktivierung macht frei!"
If Juppy responds to me, he will attack me for telling him to "blow me"
instead of arguing my opinions about Auto Update, BITS, and MS being too
cheap to add enough bandwidth at times of high demand.
