After successfully runnning/installing SP2 on my PC, I'm left with the
following strange/unorthodox-looking folder names on my primary harddisk
(C:\):

C:\0ed9fe43322c26b592d35b3dde4164
C:\8d2c23ef375ff157f93a5ae70546
C:\c47991ec9a5615edefc24dd31c
C:\ffa00b05f56ef37ba1d2199c4c104a81

Do they refer to valid programs, or can they be deleted?

Regards,
Per Odegaard.

Thanks for the reply!

Is it OK first - before deleting them - to change the name of each these
folders by inserting a couple of exclamation marks in front of the names
proper?
If the folders were vital I presume that I would get an error message - or
get stuck - if Windows was looking for a specific folder name?

Cheers,
Per Odegaard.

Per,

Those folders with the random naming are temporary folders and can be
deleted safely.

Yes, that does not cause any harm.

Hello again.
I presume the same applies to a folder (empty) under local disk C:\ called
Config.msi?

Regards,
Per.
