Has anyone received an error when applying this update?

I'm receiving an error about the branches.inf file not being able to be
copied. No info is given as to where it's trying to be copied.

I've tried moving the file to another location which gives me the same
error. I've made sure the security properties of the file allow full control
and I've tried the update while logged in as Adminstrator. I've also
searched the MS KB with no luck on articles for the error.

Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely fixed by removing the Read-Only flag on the branches.inf
file in the %windir%\inf folder (a hidden folder).

To remove the flag, you can run the following command from Start/Run:

attrib %windir%\inf\branches.inf -r

(run the command exactly as typed above, with %'s and all).

What I did was remove the branches.inf file from the install \update folder
for the update and the update installed.
