SP2 causes freeze when running security center

I installed SP2 on an IBM 570 laptop. The install went
fine. The firewall and auto updates are runing.
However, when I start the security center the machine
freezes, and must be restarted by powering down? Any
suggestions? I ran chkdsk /f at startup. There are no
file system issued that were identified.

Try disabling the security center service in services.msc. Reboot, then
turn it back on.
