SP2 and software

I checked to see if my computer was ready to install SP2 on the Microsoft download site. It offered to
down load SP2. Does that mean my programs, drivers and what ever is installed will be accepted by SP2?
If not is there a way to test a computer for compatibility for SP2? I want to upgrade to SP2, But I am
a little leerier as I am not that up on this type of action.

No. That SP2 is downloading doesn't say anything about the
