sp2 and limited or no connectivity

after installing sp2 everything seems to work fine for a day or two then the
network connection fails, message says limited or no connectivity, when a
repair is done ip address is not repaired. This machine connects fine with
sp1 and goes thru a router (using a high speed connection) along with 2 other
machines. This machine uses winxp pro and the other 2 use winxp home. The
other 2 have sp2 and connect fine the winxp pro does not connect with the sp2
update. Any one have any suggests as to why the winxp sp2 does not work with
winxp pro?
