SP2 and internet connect.

Hi all,
After installing SP2 for my boss's XP Pro, he was unable to access the
internet from other locations outside of our business network. Disabling the
firewall does not solve it. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!!!

When I first installed SP2 on my home wireless network, my laptop would not
have access to the internet. The firewall was disabled and I also disabled
encryption. It worked for 2 nights. I would reconnect the encryption at
shutdown. This may solve your problem.

HOWEVER, I then face a new dilemna, as the user icon no longer appears and
I am prompted for a password I no longer remember and for some reason I
cannot get to safe mode to do a reset.
