SP3 is always wanting to download it will not stop what should I do
I have downloaded this update several times now it comming back quicker and
quicker at first I had an error and followed instructions and cleared that
problem up but my down load won't take and I don't know how to stop it from
saying I need it.

There IS NO SP3 for XP. You must mean Office or some other program.
