Source data - have X and Y values for 1 series

Someone before me had created a chart with columns and a line, but what I
can't figure out is how they made the line the way it is. When I go to the
Source Data the data series for the line has both an "X Values" and a "Y
Values". When I try to duplicate this in a new chart I only have the option
to enter X Values. Any idea how to get it to give me a space to enter a Y
Value?

Ok I looked at changing it to an XY scatter chart but I don't see how that
gives me the option to have columns for one series and a line for another.....

And I should clarify that on the graph that I'm trying to duplicate when I go
to Source Data and click on the series for the columns it only gives me the
options to enter data for the Name and Values, but when I click on the series
for the line it gives me options to enter data for the Name, X Values AND Y
Values.

Thanks for your help!

Chart your two series as clustered columns.
Select the series you want to be lines, format and move it to the
secondary axis rather than the primnary. Now change the chart type of
this one series to XY scatter.

That should get you started.
