Sounds and Audio Devices

I recently did a partial Restore and loaded SP-2 and other needed downloads
but still shows "No Audio Device Installed". I have tried downloading
RealTec HD Audio from HP and windows but still does not show up on the
"Hardware" tab of the "Sounds and Audio Devices" window. However Avance AC97
Audio is in the Hardware tab and where did that come. I need to be able to
use my external speakers for playing music, etc. Thanks for any info

Have you tried reinstalling the motherboard drivers?
