Soundblaster Live! card not detected

My Soundblaster Live! digital audio card is operating
properly, however, when I tried to apply a driver upgrade
patch, the following error msg is received:
"Setup could not detect any Soundblaster audio card on
your system. Setup will now exit."

I have uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it with the
Creative Soundblaster CD software. The result is the same.

Can someone please help with this. Thanks.

Verify you are using the correct driver.
contact Creative for information about their drivers.
