I can no longer hear music on my computer. When ever a pop-up message
appears, I hear a ding, but I can't hear anything else. I've tried the
troubleshooting steps, but when I go to Control Panel and then Sounds and
Audio Devices, it says I have no audio device installed. Is there anything I
can do?

I tried that, and it didn't change anything. Is there another step to follow
after this, or is there something else I can do?

I'm not sure if this helps, but when I go to Control Panel and then Sounds
and Audio Devices, it says I have no audio device, and under Sound playback,
it says I have no playback devices. But up until a few days ago, I could
listen to music. Is there anything to do?

If no devices are shown in the Control Panel, means that your soundcard
drivers have been deleted and are not installed. If you have the disk, like
a utility disk to install them, do it. Or go to the manufacturers website to
download and install them. But first. Try a System Restore and see if that
works.
Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.
You can go back up to 90 days.
