Sound when hiiting Caps ?

Hi all,

is there a way to have windows emit a sound when hitting caps lock ?

Don't have that accessibility control panel item ! How can I get it back ?

Yes. Go to Control Panel | Accessibility Options. On the Keyboard
tab, check "Use Toggle Keys."

I too have a problem with accidentally hitting it and not
realizing it. Another choice that I personally prefer is to
download and use the free SmartCaps at http://www.phoebusnet.com/
 
Will try SmartCaps. However not free : free trial 30 days then pay $10.-

There's an old freeware program called Anticapslock that works on XP.
Good luck finding it, though. (The downloaded file is\was caps.zip.)
Perhaps someone at alt.comp.freeware knows where it can be obtained,
or a different program to help with capslock oopsies.

BTW, Google is your friend! ;-)

Don't need to look for anticapslock - I brought it in from my old
computer. In the original version, I believe the only difference
between registered and unregistered was that registration would remove
the systray icon.
