sound refuses to enter my receiver

Trying to hook up my receiver to my computer.
I have a Audigy sound card, tried every connection =NG
If I hook up to the front panel, and use the headphone connection, the sound
goes to receiver .

So I have the right connection to receiver

ANY help would be greatly appreciated

Not a Windows XP issue. You need to figure out what connections are for
what on your computer and whatever piece of gear you are calling a
"receiver". Perhaps reviewing the user manual for both items will shed
some light on the matter.
